Camwarden

Wildlife intelligence, built for the people who care about the land

Trail camera in woodland setting

Trail cameras have changed the way hunters, farmers, and wildlife enthusiasts understand their land. But as the cameras multiplied, so did the chaos — overflowing email inboxes, SD cards with hundreds of unsorted photos to sift through, scattered findings across multiple locations, no easy way to share with your team, and platforms that only work if you buy the right brand.

Camwarden was built to fix that.

We give you a single, intelligent platform to manage your trail cameras across all your locations, organise your findings, and share them effortlessly with the people who need to see them — whether your cameras email photos automatically or you bring them in yourself from an SD card. Whether you're monitoring a single field or a network of cameras spread across multiple properties, Camwarden keeps everything in order so you can focus on what matters.

What we do

Camwarden is a cloud-based trail camera management platform powered by AI species detection. Photos flow in automatically from email-capable cameras, or can be uploaded manually from an SD card — then analysed for wildlife content and organised by location and zone, giving you a clear, structured view of activity across your property.

Key capabilities include:

  • AI-powered detection — automatic identification of animals, people, and vehicles using state-of-the-art vision models
  • Location & zone management — organise cameras and photos by area, not just device
  • Team collaboration — share access with hunting partners, farm staff, or wildlife researchers
  • Works with any camera — if it can send an email, photos arrive automatically; offline cameras are fully supported too
  • GDPR-compliant — built in Denmark, designed for European privacy standards from day one

Our story

The idea for Camwarden didn't come from a whiteboard. It came from lived experience.

After years of using trail cameras and hearing the same frustrations from others — endless notification emails, no way to organise photos across locations, the constant friction of sharing findings with hunting partners or farm staff, and cameras locked into proprietary platforms that fell apart the moment you mixed brands — it became clear that the tools simply hadn't kept up with how people actually use cameras in the field.

That thinking became Camwarden — a platform built the right way: privacy-first, intelligent, and genuinely useful for the people who spend their time outdoors. No hardware requirements, no brand allegiances, and no lock-in — just a better way to manage your cameras, wherever they are.

Camwarden is developed and operated by CMP IT ApS, based in Denmark.
